Mini‑Stick Tournament Update – Registration Elegibility
We’ve made an exciting update to eligibility, so the Mini‑Stick Tournament aligns with the Louis Riel Cup, creating more chances for kids to get out, play, and enjoy the Louis Riel Cup together!
Eligibility has been updated and is now open to all children. This change supports our goal of bringing families together and creating space for children to build friendships, celebrate community, and share in the joy of play, side by side.

Team Sponsorship Available
Your team may qualify for sponsorship support.
Team players will receive mini-sticks, jerseys, and lunch on the day of the tournament!
Entry is FREE!
This fun, fast-paced tournament is open to youth in the following age divisions:
- Ages 5–6
- Ages 7–8
- Ages 9–10
- Ages 11–12
Each team must consist of three players and two designated chaperones.
This event is designed to celebrate teamwork, sportsmanship, and community spirit in a safe and supportive environment.
Special On-Ice Opportunity (Ages 5–6)
Players in the 5–6 division will also have the opportunity to participate in a special on-ice scrimmage during Opening Ceremonies at 12:30 PM on Saturday, April 4th at the Warman Communiplex.
Please note: Only players with complete protective hockey equipment will be permitted on the ice.
What You’ll Need to Register
To complete your registration, you will be asked to provide:
- Names and birthdates of all three players
- Shirt sizes and shooting hand (left/right) for each player
- Names and full contact information for two attending chaperones
- Allergy information and any important notes
- Equipment confirmation (for 5–6 division on-ice participation)
- Important Participation Requirements
By submitting the registration form, chaperones agree to:
- Remain onsite at the Warman Communiplex for the entire day and assume responsibility for their team
- Submit a signed guardian waiver for each player
Failure to meet these requirements may result in disqualification.
Please note: You agree to submit (via email or in person at tournament) a guardian signed, waiver release form for all 3 participating team members. Failure to fulfill this commitment will result in disqualification. You can fill out the form here, save it to your computer and email it to [email protected] or print it and bring it in-person.
